Recent research has found that Starbucks’ drinks have more sugar than a can of Coca-Cola. Talk about sugar overload!

- Venti chai tea latte = 52 grams of sugar (13 teaspoons)
- Venti caramel macchiato = 42.1 grams of sugar (11 teaspoons)
In comparison, a can of Coke contains 33 grams of sugar. Crazy right? Who would have thought!
Sugar has been identified as “the silent killer” and recently The American Heart Association recommended limiting your intake of sugar to 9 teaspoons (45 grams) a day for men and 6 teaspoons (30 grams) for women.
So, lets do the math, that means that a venti white chocolate mocha with whipped cream is about twice as much the about of recommended sugar per day (for men)! WOW, there’s nothing sweet about that!
